| Summary, etc. | In this thesis , a system dynamics approach is introduced for macro - planning of the selection of new families of electronics for the electronics industries and its application in a developing economy A review of different types of simulations is performed to determine the most appropriate methodology A decision methodology structure is built based on impact factors on rapid technology changes and uncertainty System dynamics modules are designed for selecting the family planning strategy considering the different variables involved in the marketing , product design , supply chain , and manufacturing method The developed system dynamics model is validated for a real case study in Egypt involving TV manufacturing The results reveal that using system dynamics with the optimization of linear programing can reflect the dynamics of the electronics industry and can be used for its strategy planning A decision-making framework and methodology are developed with critical variables for consumer electronics industry considering the whole business cycle The contributions of this study include developing a new system dynamics model for strategy decisions regarding new product family selections , developing the necessary models for sales forecasting , including identifying the variables for technology changes and identifying the structures of product families and key specifications per family , and developing different alternative scenarios to support the decision-making process and optimize the selection of a product family with the optimum investment and sales plans The framework is developed through integrated tools of time series forecasting and system dynamics simulation The framework is verified by a case study through accumulating actual data and set a correlation for collected data The framework provides a systematic approach for the electronic industry for proper and subjective technology selection that fits the needs of developing countries , where there is a need to choose a single technology , due to financial viability , which would sustain for the longest possible time before having the financial capacity to change it |

| Summary, etc. | و في هذه الأطروحة تم تقديم نهج ديناميكيات النظام للتخطيط الكلي و اختيار التكنولوجيا في صناعة الإلكترونيات الاستهلاكية التي تركز على فهم التفاعلات المعقدة بين المكونات المختلفة للنظام و يستند إلى فكرة أن التغييرات في جزء واحد من النظام يمكن أن يكون لها عواقب بعيدة المدى على أجزاء أخرى من النظام ، و أنه يمكن التنبؤ بهذه التأثيرات و إدارتها تساعد ديناميكيات النظام المخططين على تحديد الدوافع الرئيسية للتغيير ، و توقع المشاكل المحتملة ، و وضع استراتيجيات لمعالجتها كما أنه يساعد المخططين في اختيار التقنيات الأكثر ملاءمة لتحقيق أهدافهم و غاياتهم يمكن استخدام ديناميكيات النظام التقييم الأنظمة الحالية و تصميم أنظمة جديدة و تقييم تأثير التغييرات المقترحة من خلال مراعاة التأثيرات قصيرة المدى و طويلة المدى ، و تقييم التأثيرات المحتملة للتكنولوجيات الجديدة على المنتجات و الخدمات الحالية ، و كذلك لاختيار التكنولوجيا الأكثر ملاءمة لتطبيق معين تساعد ديناميكيات النظام الشركات على اتخاذ قرارات مستنيرة بشأن حافظات منتجاتها ، و استراتيجيات التسعير ، و حملات التسويق ، و الجوانب الأخرى لأعمالها من خلال توفير عرض متكامل للنظام بأكمله ، و مساعدة الشركات على فهم أفضل لكيفية تأثير التغييرات في منطقة ما على مناطق أخري ، فإنه يوفر رؤية شاملة لكيفية تفاعل العناصر المختلفة مع بعضها البعض من أجل تحقيق النتائج المرجوة |
