motional Intelligence is vital in the field of leadership , which cannot be ignored to achieve effective leadership . It is considered as one of the key variables that emerged in recent times as one of the essential qualities of administrative leaders . Goleman (1995) defines emotional Intelligence as "the ability to recognize our personal sense and the feelings of others , for the aim to motivate ourselves and to manage our emotions properly in our relationship with others" . Another writer , Jackson Welsha , indicated that emotional intelligence represents 85% of the causes for leaders' high performance . They also mentioned the effect of emotional intelligence on organizational performance , and that by using emotional intelligence ; productivity of employees could be doubled in some of the roles they carry out . Moreover , an analytical study conducted by Egon Zehender International on (515) senior executives in the world showed that most successful executives are those of most emotional intelligence
