The book investigates and documents the history of writings which appeared in Egypt in different periods. In a later phase, Greek became the official language of Egypt, then the book refers to the appearance of foreign writings such as: Aramaic, Hebrew, Syriac, Meroitic, Tifinagh, until the Arab conquest of Egypt and the dominance of Arabic as the official language of Egypt
